West Lake - Winter
Let me just say that these pictures do not do the West Lake justice. There is a peace and serenity here which draws thousands from China to visit, and many ancient poets recieved their inspiration from it. The best part - this is less than a five minute bike ride from my apartment.
Bei Gao Feng
My friend Wuyong wanted to take me up Beigaofeng, a mountain very close to his college campus. After visiting his school, we made our ascent. Closer to the foot of the mountain was a very impressive Buddhist temple. The top was pretty breathtaking - again, my pictures don't do it justice.
